PUTTING SAFETY FIRST WITH PLASTOCK'S "TUBE TUBE"

Pre-Covid-19, plastics manufacturer Plastock provided businesses with retail merchandise and point of sale product. When lockdown hit, sales dropped. Following its change in business model to manufacture Covid protective screens for retail and leisure businesses, we were briefed to raise brand and product awareness by getting people talking about the ‘new normal’.

We launched the Tube Tube – a face shield for nervous commuters, that offers all-round cover on public transport, to coincide with the mandatory use of face coverings on public transport, made available on the Plastock website for £95.

The idea caught fire with media – and quickly. Within days of it’s launch, it was the number two video on the BBC news homepage, was featured in the Metro and Time Out…and a Daily Star journalist even spent the day travelling around London in one!

Tube Tube has generated over 30 pieces of coverage, 67% were linked and with an average DA of 67…and it’s sold a fair few of them for Plastock too!
